SPOTLIGHT VIDEO
PRESENTATION MASTER CLASS: Back in 2017, a Las Vegas based destination management company invited us out to present our ideas to their event staff. Instead of the requested PowerPoint presentation, we took a more creative approach to showcasing our abilities.
HISTORICAL R&D EVENTS VIDEOS
Rehearsal: Prior to pulling off our “Master Class Presentation”, the team got together a few times to rehearse. Here’s a behind the scenes look at one of those practice sessions.
Zion National Park: Back in 2015 we sponsored the creation of an award winning film about Zion NP. This is the lead-in to the film that was created.
Rules of Dodgeball: During one of our first dodgeball events, we created this quick video to help orient everyone on the rules of the game before turning everyone loose to play.
Plinko For Sale: In 2014 we had a custom Plinko board created for one of our clients. Once the event was over, we ended up storing it for a year before ultimately selling it. To get the word out, we made this video.
YMCA Rehearsal: This is a behind the scenes look at the R&D Events staff warming-up before the start of a 400-person Backyard Brawl event.
Champagne Dreams: Laura sold this end of year, 1,000 person inflatable 5K event that capped off an amazing year, and to celebrate, the team showered her in Champagne.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY
Original CSR Promo: This video was created back in 2015 to highlight R&D Events commitment to producing CSR events. It’s a bit overly dramatic, but still a pretty solid video.
Helping Hands: We had the opportunity to partner with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children on several projects over the years and this was a recap from an event we produced back in 2015.
Care Stations: This was a custom CSR event we produced back in 2019 for a client hosting a 2,500 person event. They wanted everyone to have the opportunity to choose a different charity to support so we created a variety of different stations, each with a different theme to choose from.
Instrument Donation: We have produced our award winning Jam Session event nearly 40 times and each one features students with some amazing stories. One of our all-time favorite responses came from the student featured at the 1:54 mark when we asked him “what would it feel like to win your own instrument?”

ORIGINAL PROMOTION: This was one of our first promotional videos that R&D Events came out with which aired in late 2015. The quality has not lasted the test of time, but the original concept and music choice still come through. It really showed the diversity of events that we offer at destination all around the United States.
GAMES SHOW ELEMENTS
OVER THE YEARS: MIssion VIDEOS
CURRENT: With a completely redesigned book, a new film was created and this time we hired a professional voice actress to help us deliver our message. We also trimmed the humor to only a few jokes, upgraded all of the graphics, added professional b-roll footage and dropped the run time to 2:26.
VERSION 3: We made lots of improvements to our overall Mission event in 2015, including the addition of an email submission process for all photos along with a completely revamped notebook. Our video took a few steps forward as well, including an improved voiceover and lots of new graphics.
VERSION 2: Huge improvements were from v1, and aside from the horrible audio, this film is actually kind of fun to watch. A lot of effort was put into shortening the film and finding ways to inject humor into the narrative. The overall goal was to make it more entertaining, so that people would actually watch it.
VERSION 1: I’m not gonna lie, this is pretty hard to watch and its mind blowing to think that we used to make people watch this at the start of our events. What’s crazier to think, is that this video was “cutting edge” in comparison to what some of the other scavenger hunt companies where subjecting people to.
CUSTOM EVENTS WE SHELVED
Canstruction: We had a client looking to produce an event that would benefit a Food Bank in Las Vegas. We came up with this super labor intensive event that involved moving tons of canned food around a giant ballroom. The event was a tremendous success, and teams were unbelievably creative in their designs, but logistically it was massive headache of endless double work.
Imagination Arcade: This was a truly memorable event that received rave reviews from the attendees and really challenged teams to be creative. Event the kids that joined us at the end to vote on the games were over-the-moon excited to be there. However, this event produced a dumpster full of waste that soured us on the idea of ever pitching this to another client in the future.
Ultimate Tailgate Party: This event was super successful and we actually produced it three times before backing away from it. Similar to the Imagination Arcade, this event produced tremendous amounts of waste and the environmental footprint greatly outweighed the enjoyment factor.
